Rotting Christ é uma das bandas

Thy Mighty Contract foi originalmente
lançado em 1993 e apresentou um som
brutal, mas também melódico e atmosférico,
incorporando elementos diversos do metal
extremo.
Com uma roupagem mais obscura,
e intencionalmente crua e imperfeita,
o som da banda distanciou-se ainda mais
das bandas da cena nórdica, tornando o
Rotting Christ uma banda de referência
e com uma identidade única.
